American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (First time)

Program Objectives

  • The Chain of Survival 
  • ABC’s of CPR (adult, infant and child)
  • Choking 
  • Automated External Defibrillation (AED) 
  • Bag valve mask 

Program Description
This course is designed for medical care-providers and includes training in both one-person and two-person adult, child and infant CPR as well as choking techniques. Topics include the use of airway devices such as the bag valve mask and various pocket masks. All persons must be able to get down on the floor to perform CPR. There is a 25-question test that must be passed with a minimum score of 84%. This first time program is presented as a blended learning class with Part One taken online at www.onlineaha.org and Part Two (skills portion) taken here at our office.
